ÀDÌRĘ: Clothing from the Gods

Originally, Àdìrę emerged from the craftsmanship of Kíjìpá, a hand-woven textile. This fabric underwent coloring through indigo dye or aró. Women took the lead in both weaving the cloth and applying the Oniko technique for indigo dyeing. In addition to crafting new Àdìrę fabrics, worn-out garments were revitalized and dyed to accommodate those unable to purchase new ones, offered at a more affordable price.
